It’s Business Time | Self-Employment, Bookkeeping & Time Management for artists
We run monthly professional development sessions looking at the basics of working in the arts industry. From “How do I sell my art” to “How do I run a successful workshop”. Participants will be able to learn from experts and ask questions in a supportive environment. The sessions will be followed by a social open to all to allow for further discussion and networking.
The next session will take place on Wednesday 14th August at 6.30pm (1 hour session followed by 1 hour social) and will look at “It’s Business Time | Self-Employment, Bookkeeping & Time Management for artists” with Ort Gallery director Ridhi Kalaria.
During this development session we’ve got a whole heap of things we could discuss depending on what you as a group might need. For example, we can chat about self-employment, national insurance, tax returns, cash flow, basic book-keeping methods, or time management. What about insurance, or unions, or pension schemes? Whether you’re brand new to these concepts, or finding a particular task difficult, we can help!
These sessions are open to anyone, free to Ort Gallery members and £5 for non-members, £3 for students/part-time employees, free to people not in work, £10 for people who can afford it.
