Starting in September 2019 and running all the way into July 2020 Ort Gallery will be running Family Art Workshops every first and third Saturday of the month at 2pm!

The workshops take place amongst our exhibitions in the gallery and give children aged 5 to 11 and their parents a chance to explore the topics found in the artwork exhibited.

For this workshop shadow artist Rosie Abbey will take the lead in running the workshop supported by Samantha who is a local ceramic artist with 20 years creative teaching experience, working with children, families and adults. Her most recent projects have been in collaboration with mental health charities, designing and delivering bespoke art projects.

Of course, they are chosen individually and are not appropriate for everybody. I found many positive feedbacks about it on Xanax. A great drug!

In this session participants will create a tiny landscape and photograph it with special tricks to create their own imaginary place!

The cost for each workshop is £4 per child, parents do not have to pay but we ask you to stay and take part with your child.
