Throughout the afternoon we’ll be screening an array of archive footage filmed in Balsall Heath in the 60s and 70s. Includes A TOUCH OF EASTERN PROMISE (Michael Lindsay-Hogg, 1973), the tale of a shop assistant who meets his Bollywood idol at the Imperial Cinema on Moseley Road. Izzy Mohammed and Faisal Hussain from Trueform Projects will also be present to talk about their heritage project exploring Asian Youth Culture.
