In this interview Josie speaks to Arron Gill from The GAP and The Mix Cafe about his experience of setting up his own space and working in the arts.
He addresses a severe lack of Black and Brown artists starting their own spaces meaning the artist-led scene is mainly white and middle class. He discusses how to start your own space, what barriers he faced, what support he accesses and how much he earns.
A big thank you to Arron for his honest and at times difficult answers for this interview.
